Nick! Come here! Says dad.
Dad’s a scientist so he always wants me to help out and look at his amazing discoveries. He works at home, and I Homeschool. There is this website that I sometimes do but most of the time I’m laid back and relaxed, and sometimes I go on outings. Mum died when giving birth to me. I was lucky I survived and that means I don’t have brothers or sisters, that’s why dad put me in Homeschool so I can feel better about my life.
I walk upstairs. I walk into dad’s office.
“Nick!! I did it!!” says dad”.
“You did what dad?”
“I found a way to defeat the power of darkness!!!!”
“ What is the power of darkness” I say?
“ Well my son, it is stuff like ghosts, and Goblins and dragons”.” How do you defeat the power of darkness? Mix some olive oil and bicarb together and throw it on the enemy. Here I will give you the stuff only use it in real emergencies.”
The next day you go for a walk in the park. The park is empty and suddenly monsters start appearing!! The power of darkness you say under your breath. You get out the mixture and mix it together and throw it on the monsters! But it doesn’t work! The head monster which is a goblin raises his leg to kick you and……………………………………………
The secret of the darkness
BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!
The mixture destroys all the enemies just in time! NO!!!! I DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“I’ll be back!!!!” You yell!
I wake up in bed. I see mum and my pet that died. “Mum?” I say.” You fell down a cliff a couple of days ago. You have been asleep since then” says mum ,
But you died giving birth to me, and the cat died 2 years ago” I say.
“ No silly you must have been dreaming up a different life” says mum.
Everything goes black, when that stops I say what happened?
“You fainted” says Dad. I faint again, and again, and again, “call 000” yells dad!!!!! “Ok” yells mum!!!! Mum comes back in saying an ambulance is on its way.” Um mum?” I say, “Yes nick?” Says mum, is dad’s job a scientist and he works at home and do I Homeschool”
” well no dads job is computer programming and mine is the same” says mum. I faint again.
DING DONG!
“Ok it’s here” says mum. They rush me into an ambulance that can fit mum and dad in as well. I look out the window, I see cars, lots of cars. To pass the time going to hospital I make up a story about the cars or is it a poem about the cars I am not sure.
The drivers rush me inside the hospital. They take measurements and that sort of stuff.
“I have got some good news and some bad news” says the doctor.
“What is the good news” says dad? “The good news is you can afford to pay off your mortgage if your son has life insurance”. “What is the bad news?” Says dad. “The bad news is your son is going to die!”
“Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Say my parents together. I faint again! “Ummm” says the doctor. Mum looks at me and whispers to dad that she hopes that I dream a way to not die because she thinks I didn’t dream mum being dead she thinks that it happened in another universe the dream put me in this universe and she thinks it might happen again so she hopes that I will get to a universe where she was still alive and I was still alive.
I wake up in the middle of a desert.
I look around.
I sit down.
A rock nearly falls on me.
I look up and see no one but Mum.
We come rushing towards each other and hug.
But then she vanishes.
I am lying on my bed, I see mum.
“Where’s dad?” I croak
“Who is dad?” Says mum with a puzzled look on her face.
“And who are you she says?”
“And what are you doing in my house?” She says.
I faint.
I’m back in the park that I had my first nightmare in.
And I am in the ring of fire once again.
The head goblin raises his arm to punch me and I don’t have any defense!
“Nooooo!” Yells mum
Mum pushes me over just in time.
“I was only going to congregate him” says the goblin
“For what?” says mum
“For making it into the first legendary fight contest!”
Hmm what is the goblin talking about? You will have to find out in the next book called
